Greetings, and welcome to my music page. I am a piano player, arranger/composer and church musician from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I currently serve as Director of Music Ministry at Roseville Lutheran Church (ELCA) in suburban St. Paul, where I play the piano and organ and conduct various vocal and instrumental ensembles.

I was born in Austin, Minnesota and grew up in Osakis. I graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, where I studied with Dr. Charles Forsberg and received a B.A. in Music Theory/Composition. I sang in the St. Olaf Choir and studied conducting with Dr. Kenneth Jennings, and also played in the brass section of the St. Olaf Band. I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Law. Since 1979 I have lived in Minneapolis, active as a piano player, arranger, composer, performer, and producer.

I am the author of over seventy published choral anthems and arrangements, as well as numerous instrumental and vocal resources for worship published through Neil A. Kjos Music, Augsburg Fortress, Walton Music, MorningStar, Choristers Guild, and CPH. My performing credits include numerous appearances as the piano player/leader of the jazz and variety quartet First Inversion and as keyboardist/arranger with the Jay Beech Band. I belong to the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) as well as the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians (ALCM).
