SSAA, piano (Kjos #6295) or SATB, piano (Kjos #8937) – (2000) - General

I wrote this arrangement for Las Cantantes, a very fine women’s vocal ensemble conducted by Brad Ellingboe at the University of New Mexico. It uses the words of the old spiritual – the melody has been rather freely altered and modified. Starts with a slow introduction and then launches into an up-tempo gospel anthem. Optional hand claps and ad lib vocal solo. A rousing concert-closer. Also available in an SATB arrangement for church choir.
